The highlight of the EWI industry calendar is undoubtedly the annual INCA Awards ceremony which celebrates External Wall Insulation at its best. Nominations are spread over various categories with each submission being rigorously scored by a panel of fully independent industry expert judges.

Following the hugely successful event in Birmingham in 2024 we’re moving up the M1 to the beautiful city of Leeds in 2025. Once again, we’ve taken on board your feedback and plan to make a few changes this year in an effort to make it even more memorable and to make it a little easier to enter too! Again, for your comfort, we are limiting capacity to around 300 guests so we strongly suggest booking early to avoid disappointment.

In 2025 we’re back in the grand ballroom of the Queens Hotel in the very heart of Leeds city centre. An impressive venue conveniently located in the very heart of Leeds city centre with good parking facilities and next door to Leeds city station.

The Queens Hotel Leeds is described as “one of the most iconic buildings in Leeds city centre”. It’s been welcoming guests since 1937 – some of them rich and famous. A stay here means you’re following in the illustrious footsteps of Princess Grace of Monaco, Cary Grant, Nelson Mandela and Laurel and Hardy. The hotel underwent a massive £16m refurbishment in 2021; it now features new elegant art deco styling and 232 transformed bedrooms.

We are delighted to announce that the host of the 2025 INCA Awards will be none other than the instantly recognisable comedian and actor Shaun Williamson. 

Shaun is a versatile and accomplished stand-up comedian, singer, television and stage/screen actor, presenter, entertainer, cabaret performer and after dinner speaker. Best known for his portrayal of ‘Barry Evans’ in EastEnders.  A favourite on TV Shaun has also appeared in Ricky Gervais’ ‘Extras’ series 1&2 and in Ricky Gervais’ new series ‘Life’s Too Short’. He also appears regularly in cabaret with a 10-piece band and won ITV’s ‘Celebrity Stars in Their Eyes’ for his performance as Meatloaf.

Your company details will feature at the ceremony itself and in all award related literature and promotions – print, web and social media.

This year we have reorganised the award categories to make it easier to enter but without narrowing down the entry criteria. We will be judging against 11 project categories but entry is a little clearer this year – you will only need to decide if your project is new build or refurb, low rise (below 11m) or high rise and the type of finish (all render or brick effect / mixed).

Please use your judgement as to which category to enter based on the majority of the finish – we will allocate it if you are not sure which one to enter.

Projects of all sizes are welcome and small projects (below 300m sq) will be recognised and judged fairly against similar size projects in a small project of the year category. From the entries the judging panels will then also decide on a judges choice for architectural design and a separate judges choice for environmental impact.
