The 2021 INCA Awards culminated in a glittering black tie dinner and awards ceremony held at the MacDonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham on 26th November with around 200 guests in attendance.

This year’s event was made extra special not only by the fact that the industry could at long last get together without the need for a computer screen but also as it marked the 40th anniversary of INCA, the Insulated Render and Cladding Association.

A full round up of the results including all winners and highly commended projects from the event can be found in the INCA Winners 2021 Brochure – click on the brochure to open it

The evening itself was entertainingly compared by Marcus Alcindor, Chairman of INCA, and celebrity comedian Simon Evans – an established act on TV, radio, the stand-up comedy circuit and writer to the stars along with Marcus Alcindor, the Chairman of INCA.

“The INCA Awards presents the opportunity to showcase leading EWI projects completed in 2020, an ideal platform to champion our industry, reinforce the energy efficiency message and to re-cast the net for innovation in our combined goal of improving the living standards for our planet for years to come.” Marcus Alcindor, INCA Chairman

The ceremony included a charity “Silent Auction” with all monies raised going to Mencap to support the work they do to help people with a learning disability, and their families and carers. Thank you all for your generosity.

This year there were a number of new award categories added and, once again, the number of entries didn’t disappoint. Each entry was judged on merit by an expert judging panel of 4 with over 130 years of combined experience in the UK External Wall Insulation marketplace.

“Every entry this year should be praised for the overall quality and consistency, making the process of shortlisting, establishing a winner and highly commended very difficult for the judges. In some cases the winners were selected on fine technical margins. All entries should be very proud of the aesthetic quality of this year’s projects enabling the 2021 INCA Awards to showcase the quality of finish that can be achieved. The flexibility and diversity of EWI and renders.” Gary Peacey, Judging Panel.

After a short break work will start on the 2022 INCA Awards with categories being announced and entries opening in the second quarter of next year. As ever it will be based on projects completed during 2021.
