INCA Outstanding Achievement Award

Our winner this year is Paul Brown – the trailblazing founder of Swifix, whose innovations have reshaped the EWI market and advanced sustainable building practices, but that’s just the beginning.

Beyond his business success, Paul has focused on addressing the skills gap in the EWI sector. Collaborating with Exeter College and the CITB, he developed an NOCN-approved upskilling course, now being rolled out nationally. His voluntary contributions are extensive. Paul serves on the board of INCA, its technical committee, and is deputy chair of the training committee. He leads an EWI competency sub-group, sits on the apprenticeship working group, and jointly leads on the Welsh EWI Specialist Applied-Skills Programme (SAP) initiative. He is also actively supporting INCA in mapping out clear and accessible training routes, all driven by a deep commitment to the industry’s future.

Beyond INCA, Paul sits on the Green Skills Advisory Panel (GSAP) and contributes to multiple committees shaping training, standards, and policy. He recently launched a new training venture, Support for Success, further demonstrating his dedication to workforce development.

Paul is an outstanding advocate for the EWI industry. His passion for training and development inspires peers, motivates existing workers to upskill, and energises the next generation to pursue careers in the sector. A true ambassador for our industry and a richly deserving recipient of the 2025 INCA Outstanding Achievement Award.
