This project comprised two residential blocks on Bristol Harbourside, overlooking the iconic SS Great Britain and situated between the waterfront and Anchor Road, one of the main routes into Bristol City Centre. Delivered through TSL’s partnership with Lendlease, the scheme formed part of a wider programme to replace defective ETICS systems with fully A-rated, fire-safe solutions. Despite a demanding schedule, the works were successfully completed within three months.
To reflect the surrounding maritime setting, bespoke detailing was incorporated throughout the façade design, including porthole-style windows inspired by the riverside location. These were created using lamella insulation to achieve the required profile and finish, enhancing the character of the development while complementing its waterside context.
Restricted site access presented a key challenge, which was overcome through close coordination with TSL to manage deliveries using appropriately sized vehicles that minimised disruption to local traffic and residents. The buildings also remained fully occupied during the works, making communication essential. Supported by the TSL resident liaison team, we maintained regular engagement with occupants, keeping them informed of progress, planned activities, and any temporary disruption throughout the programme. The project was well received by both the client and residents, with positive feedback reflecting the quality of the installation, collaboration, and overall delivery.

“Caparol provided the Ecomin 300 system for Capricorn Place in Bristol and were a pleasure to work with throughout the project. Their team was professional, responsive, and supportive from start to finish. Comprehensive training was provided to ensure the installation team fully understood the system and application process, helping the works run smoothly and efficiently on site.
A particular highlight was the effort and expertise Caparol dedicated to helping us achieve the portal window detail. Their technical input and collaborative approach were invaluable in delivering the desired finish, and the completed product looks amazing. The quality of both the system and the support provided was excellent, and we would be very happy to work with Caparol again on future projects.”
