INCA EWI Case Study: City Studios, Preston

City Studios is a sister project to the successful Urban Hub scheme completed in 2023. Designed again by David Cox Architects and Truman Design and Build, the scheme comprises serviced and rented apartments near the centre of Preston. Located close to the Unicorn pub, a well-known venue built of old local stone, the architects and planners wanted a finish to complement to stone and a similar finish to that on Urban Hub was chosen in addition to a darker grey brick slip for the rear elevation.

The completed scheme blends in sympathetically with the surrounding buildings and provides a perfect backdrop for future developments planned around the scheme.
