Founded in 1999, Chiltern Contracts began as a commercial tiling and stone specialist and, over time, secured the expertise, labour force, and resources to undertake a variety of packages, including the installation of brick-slips facades and feature walls, external and internal cladding, waterproofing and full system wet rooms, as well as screeding and rendering works.

Its experience and assets allow Chiltern Contracts to operate a fully integrated service and provide end to end delivery from design to supply to manufacturing and, finally the installation of material, thereby offering clients vastly improved speed, efficiency and cost control.

External Wall Insulation

The external surfaces of our projects serve as an important application area, determining its overall appearance. Our application of external facades and cladding combine years of experiences in achieving elegant designs as well as ensuring extensive durability against natural conditions. Facade and cladding projects of all sizes are proceeded with attention to detail, ensuring the look and longevity of the surface is achieved at the highest quality.

We understand that the façade of a building is intrinsic to its aesthetic. Without an impactful design, a building can fade into the background with little significance. Stone facades and cladding, however, add an element of grandeur that exudes stature and timelessness.

Chiltern Contracts have been involved in a range of projects involving façade and cladding supply, installation and renovation. One notable example is the renovation of the Portland stone cladding on 65 Whitfield Street, as part of the 80 Charlotte Street development. Chiltern Contracts supplied and manufactured new stone for elements beyond repair and carried out extensive renovation on the stone that could be preserved and restored. The knowledge and experience of our dedicated stone masons was intrinsic to the success of the project.

EWI – Render

Chiltern Contracts is a premier installer of a variety of render systems. Render is a mix of lime, water and aggregate that is usually applied to the external walls of buildings to establish a smooth or textured finish.

As an approved Sto render installer we have completed several projects using a range of Sto products. We have previously completed projects that involve the installation of Sto Render Systems to insulation boards and masonry, and StoVentec Render on carrier boards. Chiltern Contracts were also the first firm to install StolitMilano in the UK.

Chiltern Contracts have undertaken a variety of render projects in the past, varying from large commercial applications to smaller projects, such as the Angel Central Shopping Centre in Islington and Riverbank in West London.

EWI – Brick Slips

Chiltern Contracts has been involved in the installation of brick slips in several projects and experienced in advising on the ranges and colours available, as well as application methods.

Chiltern Contracts was tasked with the supply and installation of over 2,500m2 of brick slip feature walls in the Bagel Factory residential development in Hackney Wick. Brick slips are also popular in commercial offices, as well as on external surfaces, such as the Bishops Stortford Station Car Park.
