INCA are pleased to announce details of the 2022 awards and to open for nominations and booking.

We’ve taken on board your feedback following the very successful Birmingham event in 2021 and intend to vary future locations for the benefit of all. We plan for next years ceremony to be held towards the south of the UK but, for this year in 2022 we are travelling a little further north to Leeds. Feedback also suggested a preference to not hold it on a Friday night which is why we’re trying out a switch to a Thursday evening this year. As in previous year’s, this will be a black tie event

The Venue

The 2022 INCA Awards will be hosted in the grand ballroom of the Queens Hotel, City Square, Leeds, LS1 1PJ in the very heart of Leeds city centre. Located next to Leeds city railway station the Queens Hotel is very easy to get to whether travelling by car or train. It’s described as “one of the most iconic buildings in Leeds city centre”.

It’s been welcoming guests since 1937 – some of them rich and famous. A stay here means you’re following in the illustrious footsteps of Princess Grace of Monaco, Cary Grant, Nelson Mandela and Laurel and Hardy. The hotel underwent a massive £16m refurbishment in 2021; it now features new elegant art deco styling and 232 transformed bedrooms.

Your Host

This year’s INCA Awards will be hosted by comedian, broadcaster and TV star Paul Sinha, aka The Sinnerman. Paul is instantly recognisable as the white-suited Chaser from ITV’s hugely popular quiz show “The Chase” and its spin-off, “Beat The Chasers”. He’s also the host of the ITV panel show “Paul Sinha’s TV Showdown” and has appeared on “Would I Lie to You?” and “QI”, and was a ‘memorable’ contender on “Taskmaster”.

Paul is a regular guest on BBC Radio 4’s Just A Minute and The News Quiz and is a double-series champion of BBC 5 Live’s Fighting Talk. On top of that he’s an award-winning stand-up comedian, a regular on the comedy circuit and Edinburgh Festival Fringe favourite.

The Charity

This years chosen charity is Parkinson’s UK. Around 145,000 people live with Parkinson’s in the UK and it’s the fastest growing neurological condition in the world. It’s a progressive neurological condition that causes problems in the brain and gets worse over time. Whilst there are different treatments, therapies and support available to help manage the condition, there is currently no cure.

Most of us will know someone who suffers from Parkinsons, a number of who work within our own industry and with this years host himself being affected it was felt this to be a particularly appropriate and worthy cause.
