INCA are delighted to announce a new networking event for our Scottish members – a Go-Karting team endurance race at the amazing Knockhill circuit near Dunfermline, Fife which will take place on Wednesday October 19th 2022.
The Knockhill Racing Circuit is based in the heart of Scotland’s National Motorsport Centre and ideally located within easy access of both Glasgow and Edinburgh (postcode: Fife, KY12 9TF). It’s a purpose built outdoor karting track 500m long by 9 metres wide. It’s fully floodlit and wet weather gear will be provided should conditions dictate (apparantly it makes the racing even more exciting!). The pro karts you’ll be driving are powered by a 270cc Honda engine and can reach speeds of 50mph on the straights and tackle the twists and turns of the track with ease. They’re also fitted with accurate lap timing technology to track progress.
We’ll be meeting at around 10:00 for refreshments, briefing and practice before the racing itself. This will be followed by a buffet lunch so there’ll be plenty of time to network and catch up with colleagues from across the industry. We estimate it will finish by 15:00 at the latest.
The event will take the form of an “Endurance Race” which will give everyone plenty of track time. With lots of friendly competition and even more banter between the teams it’s always a great atmosphere. We’ll be competing in teams of between 2 and 4 drivers you will race for up to 200 laps. Your challenge is to work together as a team to become the fastest team on the track. Team tactics, driver changeovers and team choice are all key to becoming the winners and lifting the Knockhill winner’s trophy!
- All drivers fully kitted out in full race suits, helmets, gloves and neck braces
- NKA approved track safety briefing
- All drivers take part in a practice session to determine grid positions
- Race to the finish with team tactics and driver changeovers
- Podium presentation with Knockhill Karting Trophy and bubbly spraying for the winning team
- Lap times printed out for each driver to take away
The event will cost just £65 per person and tickets can be booked via the form below. Payment is not required at this stage – INCA will invoice you directly.
There is also an oportunity to sponsor he event for a small contribution. In return you will be able to place your company banner at the event and your logo will feature in all publicity both before and after the event. This is entirely optional but, as INCA is a not for profit organisation, always appreciated. All proceeds from the event will go to support our chosen charity for 2022, Parkinsons UK.
This event has now taken place and booking is no longer available.
